Ultra Low-Latency Android Mirroring & PC Gaming Control
Engineered from first principles. Stream phone displays at 5–15ms latency over USB Tethering or local Wi-Fi with direct hardware H.264 acceleration. Free, private, and peer-to-peer.
Built for Competitive Speed & Maximum Control
Traditional casting tools are bloated, laggy, and push private data to cloud relays. KageCast is completely direct, lightweight, and hardware-accelerated.
5–15ms Wire-Speed Mirroring
Direct TCP socket streaming over USB Tethering or 5GHz Wi-Fi LAN. Near-zero frame jitter eliminates input lag for fast-paced mobile games.
Zero-PIN Matching Email Protocol
Both your Laptop and Phone authenticate via Supabase. Screen casting is strictly accepted only when both devices use the same email, blocking local network hijacking.
WASD & Mouse Gaming Controls
Full PC gaming mode with customizable key-mapping profiles. Play shooters, MOBA, or touch games using your PC keyboard and mouse without touch interference.
OBS Studio & Streamlabs Ready
Dedicated frameless /capture window route designed specifically for clean OBS Window Capture with zero UI overlays or window borders.
Hardware H.264 WebCodecs
Android's native MediaCodec hardware encoder streams directly to the browser's hardware WebCodecs decoder with zero garbage-collection pauses.
$0 Cloud Bandwidth Costs
Heavy video and audio never touch the cloud. Streams stay 100% peer-to-peer inside your local router, giving you enterprise performance with zero server bills.
How KageCast Works Under the Hood
Phone-Initiated Streaming Architecture with local socket acceleration and cloud authentication lockdown.
📱 KageCast Mobile
- MediaProjection API screen capture
- Hardware MediaCodec H.264 encode
- Direct TCP socket server (Port 7734)
- Supabase authenticated token check
⚙️ PC Engine (Node / Electron)
- Rate-limited REST API (:7734)
- Binary WebSocket Bridge (/ws)
- Zero-GC NAL parser & backpressure
- 32-byte cryptographic session tokens
💻 CastStream Dashboard
- HTML5 Canvas 60 FPS renderer
- Real-time telemetry HUD overlay
- Auto-stream detection & pairing
- Clean OBS broadcast capture
Multi-Layered Privacy & Anti-Tampering
Enterprise-grade security without intrusive passwords or 4-digit pairing PINs.
PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS)
Supabase Database Engine Lockdown
Even if someone extracts your frontend publishable anon key from DevTools or the APK, PostgreSQL engine policies strictly reject any query for other users' profiles (auth.uid() = user_id). User accounts and emails are 100% isolated.
In-Memory Sliding-Window Rate Limiter
Local Backend Anti-Spam & DoS Guard
Sensitive pairing and connection endpoints are capped at 30 requests/minute, and polling endpoints are throttled to 360 requests/minute. Port scanners and brute-force bots on your network are automatically throttled.
Cryptographic Session Tokens
32-Byte Ephemeral Handshake Keys
Every streaming session generates a cryptographically random 32-byte secret token. Unauthorized WebSocket connections attempting to sniff stream data are dropped before frame delivery begins.
Zero 4-Digit PIN Friction
Seamless 1-to-1 Matching Identity
Rather than forcing you to memorize or type 4-digit codes every time you cast, security is established by signing into the same account on both apps. Secure, instantaneous, and zero friction.

Everything You Need to Know
Transparent answers about privacy, connection speeds, and app security.
Why is there no 4-digit PIN for pairing?
KageCast uses our secure Cross-Device Matching Email Protocol. By signing into the same Supabase account on both your PC and phone, the backend cryptographically verifies account identity before allowing any stream to start. This eliminates the hassle of memorizing and typing 4-digit PINs while providing stronger security against local network hijacking.
Does my phone screen video travel through the internet or cloud?
No, never. All H.264 video frames and audio packets travel 100% peer-to-peer across your local Wi-Fi router or through your physical USB cable. The cloud database is only used to authenticate your user account; no video data ever leaves your room.
How do I achieve the absolute lowest latency (5–10ms)?
Connect your phone to your PC via USB cable. On your phone, go to Settings ➔ Network & Internet ➔ Hotspot & Tethering and toggle USB Tethering ON. KageCast will automatically detect the high-speed wire interface and stream at full 60 FPS wire-speed with near-zero latency.
How do I verify the SHA-256 checksum after downloading?
On Windows, open PowerShell and run: Get-FileHash <downloaded-file> -Algorithm SHA256. Compare the output hash with the official hash listed in our Download Center. If they match, the file is 100% genuine and untampered.
Is KageCast completely free?
Yes, KageCast is free and open-source under the MIT License. There are no subscriptions, no in-app ads, and no hidden cloud relay fees.
